Deep Thoughts

This is a direct copy from my sister's blog, but the sidebar is now going to be filled with random sayings and conversations with the Black kids instead of new posts for them. The first few are definitely winners!

Potty Time!

We've been potty training with Claire for three or four weeks now and she's doing a great job! She has been quite a bit easier than Molly was. I think it's pretty helpful having Molly around because Claire wants to do everything she does, potty included. We still have accidents here and there, but for some reason they almost always happen at home, so I guess I'm grateful for that.

This is Molly when she was potty training almost two years ago. The sad thing is that Claire is wearing panties from the same Curious George pack that Molly is wearing. Practically everything Claire gets is a hand-me-down, right down to the underwear!

Fancy Nancy Party

For Molly's preschool Valentine's Day party they did a Fancy Nancy theme (very fun for the girls, not too exciting for the boys). Molly started out the morning with tons of accessories on (many bracelets, necklaces, etc) but by the time preschool rolled around she was left with a bow in her hair and the bows tied on her shoes. Claire got to come to the party too, so she get to dress just as fancy.

It's a Girl!!

We had our eighteen week ultrasound last week and it's ANOTHER girl! Chris and I really thought it was a boy (although I was basing my opinion on the always-reliable Chinese Lunar calendar and the heart rate wive's tale - she was always in the 140's which is supposed to mean boy) but Molly has known all along it was a girl. She would never even entertain the idea of it being a boy, although she says the next baby is going to be a boy. We'll see if her intuition is better than mine! We brought both kids to the ultrasound, and Molly's favorite part was when she got to say over and over to Chris "I was right and you were WRONG!" Claire's favorite part was tickling my toes while I was laying back in the chair. Unfortunately the ultrasound pictures were really terrible this time around (I can't tell what three quarters of them are pictures of) so this was the best one.

Family Photos

Over Christmas our family had pictures taken at the temple with a photographer named Sarah Coral. She was amazing!

Shirtless Wonders

In general, when Chris comes home from the gym he likes to take his shirt off to see what kind of improvements he's made that day. Molly catches him pretty frequently and wants to have her shirt off too. This is what a lot of our afternoons look like.
