Claire's Blessing

Yesterday was Claire's big day. The amazing thing is, we only have pictures of Molly to show for it! I know that seems terrible, but I took pictures of Molly getting ready for church (this was the first time she got her hair curled) and then the battery died on my camera . I feel so guilty, but it is what it is. Anyway, we had a great day, and dinner afterwards was really nice. We are so grateful to have so many family members close that were able to come. I had portraits of Claire taken in her blessing dress, so as soon as I get those back I'll post them.

Molly was wearing stick-on earrings for the first time in a while and was pretty thrown off by them.

Potty Training Day One

So far so good, but we'll see about tomorrow...

Molly's been pretty interested in the potty for a while and I've known it was probably time to train, but I just wasn't quite ready. But last week we decided we probably shouldn't put it off any longer, so here we are. She did great all day except for a small afternoon poo in her panties. Other than that we kept clean all day!

Splash Park

The Splash Park in Fountain Hills opened on Saturday and the kids loved it. It was pretty crowded and there were a couple of punk kids using the water gun to shoot the little kids (Mike and I had to go after them a couple of times because they wouldn't lay off-I'd like to know where there parents were) but other than that it was awesome.

This is the kids playing in the little fountains...

And this is the kids wondering where the water went!

New Pics

There is no real rhyme or reason to this group of pictures, just cute ones from the past couple of weeks...

My aunt Josie made this skirt and Molly loves it, especially when she's spinning.

Sarah made Amelia and Molly nighties from a pair of pajama pants Amelia picked out; one nightie out of each pant leg. This picture describes exactly how Molly feels about wearing it.

Molly started out just sleeping with Froggy, then I made Froggy a blanky with some scraps of fabric, then we added a bunny rabbit from Build-A-Bear my mom made with her, then we added a stuffed mouse that Jessie got her. Finally they had to be "tucked in tight" with a blanky and laying on their own pillow. I wonder what other animals will be joining her next week!

Silliness in the tub...

We went to Chris' parent's house on conference Sunday and Molly enjoyed tons of fruit salad and a swim in the hot tub with her cousins.

Claire getting plenty of attention from "Gwa-Gwa" and Uncle Mike.

Two Parties for the Two Year Old!

This year Molly was lucky enough to get two parties for her birthday (actually, I was too lazy to plan her own party so we encroached on Max's party at the zoo and Kathy's birthday dinner).

Molly is showing that she's two with two hands instead of one, a trick she learned from Max.

Chris and I got her a tent, which has been a little more obnoxious than I thought it would be. The thing is huge!!

Molly and Max both really only wanted the frosting off of their birthday cupcakes.

My parents got Molly a drumset, which Jessie called a "temporary moment of insanity" when we made the purchase. I think once the excitement wears off a little bit I'll hide the sticks and she can just bang on them with her bare hands...much softer.

Easter

I think more dye got on Molly than on the eggs; you can tell it was her dad that was helping her!

The kids had a great time running around on the grass after church. I wanted to get more pictures of Claire, but they all would have looked exactly the same: sleeping baby.

Molly was pretty excited about the Easter egg hunt, especially the jelly beans.

Next year I don't think I'm going to put grass in the Easter baskets, it's a nightmare!

We went to the train park in the afternoon and Molly had a great with her cousins.
